Leadership & development

From a music school to a school of music and arts

A long-established public music school is being developed into a broader cultural education institution — while teaching, administration, municipal partners, and the public remain reliably connected.

Starting point
A broad public mandate, high demand, and complex coordination within municipal administration and cultural policy.
Role
Director with responsibility for around 2,300 learners, 80 staff, partnerships, communication, and institutional development.
Implementation
New disciplines, group formats, interdisciplinary projects, durable partnerships, clearer processes, and useful digital infrastructure.
Impact
Broader participation, new artistic access, clearer communication, and growth beyond one-to-one tuition.

Music

Stage, ensemble, and recording practice sharpen listening, coordination, and a sense of form. These experiences continue to shape how I lead, teach, and design systems.
