From a music school to a school of music and arts

A long-established public music school is being developed into a broader cultural education institution — while teaching, administration, municipal partners, and the public remain reliably connected.

Starting point: A broad public mandate, high demand, and complex coordination within municipal administration and cultural policy.
Role: Director with responsibility for around 2,300 learners, 80 staff, partnerships, communication, and institutional development.
Implementation: New disciplines, group formats, interdisciplinary projects, durable partnerships, clearer processes, and useful digital infrastructure.
Impact: Broader participation, new artistic access, clearer communication, and growth beyond one-to-one tuition.

Step by STP — Youth Dance Company

A cooperative format that adds contemporary dance to the school and makes artistic development for young people institutionally visible.
